God is Good... He just messes with me some times

Praise God for camping!!!  This weekend my youth group had our fall campout at Lake Ann and we had great weather!  It stopped raining as soon as we got there and it didn't start again until we left.  So why do I say that God messes with me?  With my camp management class, this campout I had, and the worship event we just had with Ken Rudolf I'm anxious for camp NOW!!!   Yeah, that's right... I'm ready for camp in September when it isn't until June. ARGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! CAMP CAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMP!

Plumb on the stereo, soft pillow in my arms, and Peach Faygo in Stemware (What could be better?)

Slowely, but surely, my room is turning into a place that I can hang out in.  As we speak, I'm sitting in my thrown while drinking Peach Faygo from Stemware that I have and hugging this really soft pillow.  It's awsome.  I also have a mirror in my room again, so I can see myself rockin' out to Squad 5-O or some other jive music.  I also have a couch, so if anyone wants to join me in my room to chill, we can .  Now if I could only find a way to get one of those fold up beds or something so I can hide it in the wall.  Hmmm... or maybe get my mini-fridge in here.  Anyways, I don't think that anyone really cares about my room so I'll stop.  I'm really sorry about this post... actually, no I'm not... I love my room.

Unify the Body

Hey Hey Hey... Any of you 18-24 year olds who live in the Grand Rapids area, there's a "bible study" that will be starting up at my house this Thursday night from 6:45 to 8:00.  Also, if you want to get some dinner before hand just let me know before hand and you can meet earlier at 6 for some grub.  I don't want this to be just another bible study, I want this to be a relationship building experience that will help us in our lives and studies this school year.  Specifics will be discussed at the meetings, but structure is not going to be too strictly inforced.  Anyways, if you want to come, just e-mail me and I'll get you directions to my house.  If you aren't from the Grand Rapids area or aren't 18 yet, please be in prayer for this oppertunity as I'm not quite sure who will decide to be faithful attenders or not or what the group will look like exactly.

KyFo the Cowboy

So... I was going to post anyway since I haven't posted since I went back to camp, but today I have a story for you that anyone who knows me will find hilarious.  So, I think I'm going crazy and scaring myself with my wardrobe.  I found a belt with a buckle on it at Goodwill a couple of days ago, so I was wearing that today with a pair of jeans and my pink "camp" shirt.  Well, my grandparents gave me some money for my birthday so I was out spending it today and decided to get a black cowboy hat (yeah, I know... I scare myself as well).  Anyways, after that I went out to Meijers to pick up some hair gel and there was a little kid that surprised me with his greeting: "Are you a cowboy?"  lol I was completely caught off guard!

This summer has been so amazing!  If anyone were to tell me that there wasn't a God, all I would have to say to discredit him is by showing him what God has done.  He is so amazing that He even uses a broken ankle to bring me closer to God and form me into a more mature human being.  I think that one thing I need to work on that I realized this summer is opening up to people.  I guess part of it is the relationships that I've been in and been rejected at, but another part of it is control.  I so want control over my life that I decide that if I open up to people I can't have that anymore.  So, if any of you want to help me with that... force me to open up.  I truly want to have deep relationships with people, no matter what my actions say.

Water Kick-Ball Done Me Good!

Well, for those of you out there who haven't yet heard about my accident... I dislocated/broke my tib & fib on Thursday and now I'm home chillin' after having surgery on it Friday.  This WILL NOT keep me from camp!!!  I will not give in or give up on this... I will be back.  Until that happens, though, I'll have to be content with just lifting those on the field up and encouraging them with what I can give.  I realized what I had to do after reflecting on all the challenge course activities I've done over the years and how those who were blinded or muted could always encourage the rest of the group.  So... you guys at the Springs should be expecting lots of mail this week and a half... or however long I'm gone.  Of course, you guys will also be in my prayers.
